After I posted the Hamilton Pan Europ in our local watch forum, I got a PM from a member who asked if I wanted to buy the cousin of the Hamilton, a Kelek chronograph with a Cal.11 Buren movement. He sent me a picture and I liked the Kelek's funky blue dial with white outer ring. Very much a 70s designed watch dial. Blue bezel has faded to a light bluish gray color which matches well with the overall appeal of the watch. The cushion case is a bit wider than the Hamilton and case diameter is 43mm sans crown. From what I have read on the net, Kelek was involved in supplying and finishing movements for Breitling, and Willy Breitling eventually bought them out. Our negotiation was short and sweet. Happy to have the watch in my collection now.
Just one word: Funky More interesting to me is the yachting dial design of the right Kelek in the ad. I just knew it from a Dugena I once had. Thanks for posting! Nico
