Hello, Spring cleaning continues and next in line is this charming vintage JLC. I picked this up a while back primarily due to its original condition, the large sub-dial and of course the beautiful patina. At the time, I remember having a quick chat with Zaf Basha (someone who knows these watches extremely well) and he believed the watch was original and in good condition as well. As an aside, this is my first watch that is 32mm or smaller and honestly I am pleasantly surprised by how big it wears despite the size. For reference, my wrist is 6.75in. Some quick details: Year: 1947 Movement: Original, Calibre 469A manual wind Case: Original, stainless steel, 32mm without crown, 33mm with crown Crown: Original Dial: Original Hands: Original Strap: Aftermarket, leather Service history: Unknown. Winds smoothly and keeps good time. And now for some pictures (have borrowed a couple from the previous seller): Watch and I are in the US and I can ship worldwide (with some exceptions). No returns please. I'm asking $799USD insured and shipped to CONUS. Other countries add shipping cost. Payment by bank transfer or PayPal (friends and family). References available. Thanks!
gosh that's a beautiful watch. 31.5mm is extreme for me, not sure if i could pull it off. if it was 35mm even i'd buy it in a heart beat
Same here. I have a 30mm Omega that I love, but usually gets worn by the wife as it's just too small for me.
I know what you mean. I was a bit hesitant on the size as well when I bought it but after wearing it a couple times started to like how it felt on the wrist - a bit more substantial than its size would suggest probably due to the lighter colored dial and the long lugs.
