Well, I was thinking about this vintage IWC and thought I would share a few picture to get some feedback and opinions. Please let me know what you all think.... Asking price ~$2,600. Case is 35mm. Described as unpolished and unmolested original condition.

 

Is that missing it's bezel?

 

I'm don't think so, but I'm not sure. The other specimines I've seen in this calaber and age range have a similar appearance of the case to crystal layout. I'd gladly take the feedback of someone with more experience than me though. Thoughts? Any other issues that you see?

 

I was told it has a flat bezel.... Does that sound right?

 

The watch looks fine. I think the bezel comment was the result of the bubble-like crystal, which were fairly typical of that period.

Looks like a nice watch, and the price is not really out of line, assuming that the case back is in equally good condition. Not to say that you wouldn't be able to find one for a bit less, but these typically go for $2000+ in that condition.

Yes, and the cuts in the lugs where they meet the case. That's what happens when you view on a tiny screen.

That looks absolutely wonderful. While price is not that good, the condition on that piece is stunning. Definitely unpolished. They might have just cleaned it up a bit because you don't see the red residue that forms on vintage gold...

My Yacht Club is the same, at certain angles it looks like there is no bezel

 

I just completed the transaction yesterday. I'll post wrist pics when it arrives. We negotiated the price, and ultimately agreed on $2,350 so I got it a little cheaper than originally priced.

 

Congratulations. There's a very similar one on a Japanese dealer site at the moment for around twice the price!

The new IWC arrived today. I couldn't be happier with it. Winds and adjusts like a dream. Looks beautiful on the wrist. I'm smitten....
