Hello! I have recently acquired this vintage IWC which I bought at a low price as it has obviously had some dial work done and looks like some kind of resin over the text. As it's already been messed up I am.going to have it restored, but is it correct to be missing the 'schaffhausen' under the 'international watch company. If I have it restored I obviously need it to be done right but have very little experience with this brand. Hopefully some of you can help me out with this one! There seems to be a lack on info on vintage IWC dials online so thought this could be a useful discussion base especially if anyone has any good links! Thanks in advance!
No it's a manual so I imagine it's an 89 But is with my watchmaker at the t so will have to double check that. Okay from the pictures ive scrolled through that font seems to appear a lot so will base the redial text on that font style. Thanks for your help guys! I'll post a picture on here once it's been done.
Yeah I would be more nervous sending a complicated dial but as long as they got the font and size correct I guess they couldn't go far wrong!
