Hi All,

I’m a watch enthusiast collecting modern watches and new to vintage.

I have a strong interest in a beautiful omega vintage watch that I found at a local dealer while in Italy. I’m looking for your expertise in evaluating this model. Just want to learn if there are any points of concern with this specific model. See photos below.

A quick note that the watchmaker mentioned that it has been recently serviced and both glass and strap/buckle have been replaced with aftermarket. The rest is all original. Cost approx 1300 euros

Rose gold capped.

Thank you in advance for your input. Very grateful for your honest input.

This watch has been redialled. Position of “Omega” is way off and there is no “Swiss Made” at bottom of dial. Omega logo is crooked. Probably was bent during redialling process. Crown looks to have been replaced with modern Omega version.

For these reasons, the price seems very high to me.

Also the watch case appears to be gold plated and not gold capped - a very different beast altogether.

Plenty of nice original vintage watches are available at that price. This is not one of them.
