Hi all,
I decided to part with my vintage Hamilton chrono-matic chronograph from 1969, powered by the venerable Buren 11 caliber, one of the very first automatic chronograph movements ever produced.

I got this watch locally some months ago in a trade from a fellow collector and enjoyed a bit during holidays, but now something else caught my eye so this one goes on the block. It's a watch that is not easy to find in such a state of originality and proper working condition.

The distinctive 37 mm case is in very good condition—I would even dare to say never polished—and all the engravings on the caseback are clearly legible. The chronograph pushers and the crystal are original, as is the crown. Lug width 19mm.

The blue dial is the queen of the party: in excellent condition, with all the tritium dots still in place. All the hands are original and in good condition.

Buren 11 automatic caliber underwent a full service in 2022 (a receipt will be part of the sale) and everything works smoothly. Please note that two historically weak points of this calibre—the date change and the power reserve—work very well in this example. The only thing to note is that the winding crown, original and signed, sometimes seems to spin freely during winding, but the movement still winds satisfactorily.

The watch is sold with the pictured high-quality handmade rally strap, used but not excessively, and its original signed buckle.

Please ask me via pm for any doubt about the watch. I will reply as fast as possible.

Watch and me are located in Rome, Italy. Given conditions and service I'm asking 3000 euros net to me. I can ship everywhere within EU with DHL Express and additional insurance by Secursus. Overseas transactions are welcome with shipping costs and modality to be decided with buyer.
Payment via bank wire strongly preferred, a face to face in Rome is possible.

I have some good feedbacks so far on OF at the following links both as buyer and seller, but plenty of references from other international fora and ebay can be provided if needed:

I have tried to provide photos taken in different lighting and environmental conditions so you can get an idea of the overall genuine originality and condition of this watch.
But, before pics, thanks a lot OF for the opportunity and thanks you all for looking.
