    Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for the reference of this seamaster that I have had offered to me?

I'm sure it's solid gold due to the caseback, as capped ones are normally stainless. But I cant seem to find the reference looking at others online. Seller is unable to get photos of the inside, however I could when I inspect it.

Also how polished does the case look?

There were plenty of gold-filled and gold-plated Seamasters made so without seeing the markings inside the case back I wouldn't be so sure it's solid gold.

The Swiss gold cap models would normally have a steel back but as indicated above, the fat lug case was made by local domestic producers also. As such I wouldn't be 100% on that being solid gold, though the engraving doesn't look to have broken through so it could well be. The model number is either 2577 or if a local case then it wont have one, or be something weird eg W1456

Surprise twist, it's actually stainless steel

Watch looks worn and a little bit of patina/ dial degradation, but ok for its age and it ended up being pretty affordable:)

Now just to source a correct crown..
