·I had been watching this watch for maybe 10 months on Chrono 24 and finally just snapped it up. The later 38mm version had been on my radar (along with the IWC MK XV) when I was shopping for a watch about 20 years ago, I ended up getting a Sinn 656, which was more in my budget. Now that I am a 34-36mm guy, this early GO really got me salivating.
So this is a very cool watch. It was made in the mid to late 90’s after reunification, but before the brand was acquired by The Swatch Group. The size and wearability is quite good. It wears bigger than a IWC MK XII and it is also thinner. The movement is a non-hacking GUB 10-30. The matte dial is quite incredible with hand painted lume on the numerals and five minute markers. There can’t be many of these out there but I have figured out there are four dial variations. There is no info on these watches out there, so please let me know if you have any info.
