Have you seen the movement? Don't need to be an expert to see what looks rust at the bottom of the dial. I wouldn't put in a bid, cheeky or otherwise, because you might win it.

No, just my observation although not eloquently put (blame James Jameson ).

I agree there is some crud at the six to seven and that it would be a good idea if the OP got a clean hi-res movement shot before dropping the dough.

 

It is curious that it's only visible in one photo.

 

Angles, shadows, refraction? That's why good clear face and movement shots are essential.
