Hi folks,

I saw this pop up online and thought it looked cool and interesting. The price was good enough to take a slight punt on it as I know absolutely nothing about Doxa or vintage Doxa other than they make some cool Divers.

This watch came from a “Dealer” who I tend to trust but I just thought I would post some pics up incase any one is interested and incase there are any Doxa experts out there that can pass comment on the watch.

Its 36mm so wears very nicely, case is very crisp and seems unpolished, the auto bumper movement winds very smoothly which backs up the sellers claims its been serviced recently and the dial and markers have a very nice patina which makes the watch in my opinion.

To some out there no doubt it will look like a knackered old watch but to me it has a lot of charm and I’ve enjoyed wearing it thus far.

Nice one! I like the layout they used - the teardrops on 3,6,9, the dots on the other hour markers, and the big '12'. Other makers also used that format.

I've got 3 Doxas, and I do like them. There's info at a WUS thread here, that you might find helpful too.

Very nice watch, and great condition! And it looks like it may be in a SS case, which is rare for vintage Doxa dress watches.

 

Thanks, it is indeed a stainless steel case.

Its proving difficult to find any information about the watch but that doesn't stop me enjoying it.
