Haven't been diving in a couple of months, but that hasn't kept me from enjoying some old divers in the office. Wearing the one on the left this week. The 42mm case gives it a nice presence on the wrist, but it has a low profile and is not bulky. The technology behind the super compressor cases is amazing, particularly as developed 50 + years ago. Let's see some more.
I'll play. How about a couple of Benrus Type I's. One is sterile....or preproduction............or whatever you call the one with no writing on the back

This reminds me of the story about the new inmate at a remote prison island. Everyone was put in a separate cell and kept that way – apart from each other – all hours. The first night he heard one of the other inmates shout to the others – “nineteeeeen”! Everybody laughed. The second night another inmate shouted “foooouuuurr”! There was a roar of laughter. This went on for a while – someone shouting a number and then loud laughters. One day the new inmate had the opportunity to ask a guard what it was all about. “Well the other inmates have been here for so long that all the stories are told over and over again. Nowadays they just shout a number and everyone knows what story it represents. For instance number 23 is the one about…” and he told the story. That night the new inmate thought he could contribute and when nothing happened that evening he shouted – “twentythreeeeeeee”. There was dead silence. The next month he again had the opportunity to ask a guard what had happened. The guard just said – “You told it wrong.” I hereby show my vintage divers no. 23 to 45...
