Caught this minty 60s Croton Chronomaster Aviator Sea Diver watch recently. Made by Nivada Gretchen, the company used the Croton brand for the American market.

The early models like mine had the large arrow hour hand and used the reliable Valjoux 23 movement.

The watch seems to be hardly used and the hour markers and hands have developed a nice creamy patina. The 38mm case is unpolished.

Great one, I have a few chronomaster myself. I love the look and it’s the cheapest way to get 2915 look a like hands .
    Have fun with her!

Here is my early v92 version:

Thanks Nico. The hour hand really stands out.

Mine says hi as well. Sadly, my case has been polished a little.

Out of curiosity, are there different variants for the hands? OP’s hands look different. The lume area is larger.

I’ve never seen that before. Looks really cool. Like the big eye version.

It's kind of a yachting dial I would say. Here in detail (its another one, the one in best condition I have)

Beautiful. How much do they usually go for? If you don’t mind sharing.

1st execution with val23 had mirrored, glossy, beveled subdial registers. I cannot tell from your pictures.

Nice find in any case, love the dial/hand/mov't combo on these.

The hour hand (esp. the lumed area) looks somewhat different from the others in this thread, IMO. Perhaps a variation?

I agree the hands are off. I’ve not been collecting long but I did do my research before buying one and I’ve never come across these hands before.

I’ve always wanted one of these. Just in case my wife is reading this thread.

    She is not.
