Hi there
This is my first post so bear with me please. I am relatively new to watch collecting and was lucky enough to recently find and buy a vintage Omega. I am wanting some advice on the following watch, which after reading many articles and checking serial no. I believe is a 1959 Constellation. I bought it at my local 2nd hand market in UK last week and it appears to be a very genuine and original watch. It has original winder, omega etched plexi, strap and buckle and the movement appears to be mint and keeps excellent time. It appears to have been well looked after from new with little wear and case and dial are in fantastic condition with the exception of some tarnishing on the main omega logo/wording and also the Constellation star is black/tarnished.
should I leave this as is, or seek to have it removed somehow? I kinda like it honestly, but not sure if it will get worse or spread if left alone. I assumed the dial furniture would be gold and shouldn't tarnish.
Any info welcome on watch, I love it's honesty and it came from a house clearance and appears to have been someone's treasured watch since new. I feel very honoured to own it and would love to know everything about it. It adds to my meagre collection which consists a vintage automatic Seamaster and a Chronostop Drivers.
