hello - could anyone provide some help on this vintage Constellation? The seller is saying it’s all original so want to get some additional opinions regarding condition, overall rarity, if it’s desirable, etc. Also would really appreciate guidance on value since I don’t know exactly what to pay.

It’s certainly not ‘all original’ as the dial for one has been redone.

What makes you say that? To my eye the crosshair looks the appropriate thickness and crosses the text at the right places.

Enlarged, it does not look that well centered, crosshair is interrupted:

    Reference 168.010?

    5. Lume on hands look greenish and differes from the hour markers
    6. "Autmoatic... certified" script has wrong fonts

Should be Tritium Ts at "Swiss Made" I think?

    What that man said.

Hard to put an even reasonably accurate value on a redialed piece, as it is not in the sphere of interest to collectors as an original specimen would have. I don't think it is unattractive and it certainly has some value. Probably around $5-600 or so.

@connieseamaster - the MOY test is not applicable for a lot of Constellation references and in general I prefer to look at overall factors such as type of print, fonts, etc.

double T's appear from 1963 onwards if I recall. Not sure about single T.

One glance at CONSTELLATION and one can tell the font is OFF...….badly

thats a tricky one, as single Ts do (correctly) appear on lumed watches (and the jury appears to be out on why one instead of two)

    all very wrong
    the oval Os
the combination of slanted and straight Ms (which were last produced many years before this watch)
and the font generally, which by this time is pretty consistent

the case is okay but a bit polished.
on a plus point, the 19mm BOR is worth something.....

Great eye, The combination of slanted and straight Ms Is the final nail in the coffin, yet with my untrained eye, at first glance I thought this dial looked fine. I have learned something today.
