Case size is a touch too large for me at 42.8mm, but I think it still might work and boy does it look beautiful.

    Under $1k as well.

@Bill Sohne - you’re a Certina fan and I believe you have large enough wrists to make this work?

I think I might need this one. ::love::

@R3D9 is that including crown? I saw figures on IG putting it at 40mm. Its definitely a buy at 700euros!

If that is the case, this becomes a very attractive watch! I may have my facts wrong... of to the web to do some digging.

Nice dial. Matching the second hand and cross hair color was smart.

In my view, the bright white lume and markers is a mistake. Ivory or green color would have provided needed contrast.

So it is indeed 42.8mm... that’s large given what appears to be a case with pretty long lugs as well.

There are no Certina AD’s in Canada, so picking one up would be a leap of faith...

I’m travelling to the UK in the summer - fingers crossed it’ll be available and abundant by then and perhaps I can try one on before buying.

You know that caseback is going to be awesome!!!

Basel this year was a disappointment for the major brands, but there's a lot of GREAT stuff going on in the >1k - 2k range nowadays. Longines, Hamilton with their new hand-wind watch, now Certina... nice!

Will be looking for this at all the airports I get to fly out of this summer because in £ with the VAT removed or tax free in € this is a superb piece. It could be had for around £430 new if lucky enough and 80hr power reserve wow.
The guys at Bienne are lauding new 70hr movements in some Rolex models, me thinks they need a rethink.

I stand corrected on size! My wrist is in the UK if you need to order ahead and somewhere to keep it.

An additional thought that occurs to me as I stare longingly at the photos of this for the thousandth time today...

Anybody else getting a strong SM300 Watchco vibe from this one? I think this would be an insanely great value-priced alternative to anyone presently considering one.

Given the black dial + black bezel, and judging from my recent Fortis pickup, I'm betting this wears bigger than 42. Probably feels like 44 on the wrist.

42mm speedy along side 42mm Fortis for comparison.

    Still, great looking watch.

That’s a crazy difference. The Speedy really is the smallest 42mm watch in the business.

I wish Certina had a sales network here... if the case was 40mm it would be an insta-buy.

Also, that Fortis is frigging awesome.

Hard to believe their both listed as the same diameter.

    Yes. Yes it is.
