Can anyone confirm if this is a redial? Movement has been confirmed original (78-1 manual wind). The reason I am skeptical is because the chapter ring's black ink looks thick. Tried to search for other tanks online and came across a similar looking tank on instagram except for the crown.

I doubt it's a re-dial. It's most likely either legit or a total knockoff. You'd need more photos to know for sure.

BTW, I don't think that dial has a chapter ring per se, so I'm not sure what you are specifically concerned about when you mention thick ink. Are you referring to the minute markers, hour markers? 😕

The hour markers inside the square track. I think cartier mentions it as chemin de fer chapter ring.

Cartiers from this era are pretty low rent, that one looks pretty typical and looks OK to me but I'd want to see the back to be sure. It sounds like there is a movement too shot if the date is known.
