Hey OF,
I recently saw online (link below) this beautiful red dial Cartier Santos Burgundy (ref. 2960) and got fascinated by it.
I wanted to ask if someone knows what should I observe when searching for one of these. I was told for example the if the dial has the 'Swiss Made' that means it is a service dial and should be priced accordingly as oppose to 'Swiss' only; would be grateful to receive any info one may had.
Also if anyone has a price range it would also help.

Thanks!

With the santos Carree, references 2960 and 2961, an important thing to consider is the condition of the case. The entire watches character for that 1st generation iteration of the santos is all in the case. Once polished, the reference looses its core DNA. The picture you provided above is an example of a fantastic case. Probably unpolished. You can use that for reference when assessing a watch at least from the front head on. In terms of dials, the burgundy does command a premium. I see them go for 6-8k to end users but can be found cheaper with some hard work and digging. I personally am not a fan of that dial. Another thing that makes that watch is how versatile the case design is with a white roman dial. It totes the line of formal and casual extremely well due to that dial and can be worn in a number of situations. A great contender for a one watch collection if you will.

Extremely useful! appreciate you took the time here and wrote that, thank you.
I will try to pay close attention to the case condition and to find one that isn't polished, I guess these are even rarer.
