By the way I need to thank @JwRosenthal for his sage advice. I have thanked him personally but wanted to share the recognition. He is always happy to assist without complaint or ego.

Just paying it forward. Many here have helped me, in particular @hmmmcamu when it came to learning the ropes with these 666's.

But the way if you fall over a period bracelet suitable for 8inch wrist going for a realistic price I would love to talk but then I guess you will be saving for yourself.
But if you don't ask

there are loads of VINTAGE period correct aftermarket Stainless Steel bracelets floating around any of which would have been sold in a Jeweler/watch makers shop back in the day ... which would have been appropriate for use on these watches ... JB Champion, STELUX etc etc ..... do not be pigeon holed with must have BULOVA LOGO .. there are loads of vintage ACCUTRON, and CARAVELLE bracelets that shopper would have had the jeweler/watchmaker pair with the watch and even vintage 18mm Omega bracelets ... if u pay attention old omega bracelets they had a pyramid with the omega logo inside it , ... guess who made the bracelet originally for the US watch market [ when european bracelets would have been charged additional import taxes ] ... JB Champion USA [notice the pyramid and JB stamped inside it ]

Thanks for the advice. I will have a play with some options today. Might try with Komfit band or I have been looking for an excuse to buy a Bonklip so this might be an opportuity

I am also on the lookout for a correct crown if you know of any around. the one currently on the watch is ok (Caravelle) but not correct

I think the Bonklip may be a little delicate for it- they are very light and tend to work in smaller/slimmer watches.
Uncle Seiko just did his Holzer, 1171 and Flatlink in 18mm, haven't ordered them yet but the Holzer would look FAB!! on this watch- Flatlink would also be interesting. Endlink shape could be a variable but the hollow endlink allow for some shaping and if worse comes to worse- those bracelets could look insane on a miraid of other vintage pieces.
But the 18mm Bonklip would also look awesome on any vintage chrono you have...or have forthcoming 😉

This is the Accutron 2181 version of the Deep Sea that I have serviced for a regular poster on the OMB. Testing it in wear for a few days before I return it to him. I might have a NOS minute hand to replace the patched one. One of the two black arrows points to the train bridge which was water damaged. A fibreglass brush erased the damage, but it ended up cosmetically poor. I had a parts 2181 with a perfect bridge which is on the finished movement. The other black arrow points at a broken screw that I replaced. I also replaced the hack lever which was damaged.

DIAL designed and made by SINGER ... equipped with an IN HOUSE swiss MOVEMENT with no out sourced parts .... nope not talking about a ROLEX ...

vintage Oceanographer Snorkel ran with the heavy hitters of its day ... the people who made the Rolex Dial also made the humble DEVIL DIVERS dial ...

image of dial borrowed from cyber space
