does any of you happen to know if a vintage Speedmaster bezel (say 70ies) can be installed on a modern (2018) Speedmaster?

Its plausable. Maybe it will fit maybe it will not.

Many thanks for that! So, unfortunately there is no way of telling for sure if for instance a 'pulsations per hour' or telemeter bezel would fit?

 

There may be variations on a case by case basis, but 70's bezels will fit modern Speedmaster Pros.

I'm going to assume that the bezel you're looking at are probably modern bezels anyway.
