For sale is a Certina Chronolympic watch from the early 1970's.

The movement is in excellent condition. It received a full service recently. The movement is the original version Valjoux 7750 with 25 jewels, not the more commonly found 17-jewel version.

The dial is light tan or cream color. It is slightly difficult to capture the shade in photos.

The case measures 42mm top to bottom, 43mm across (not including the crown), and 14mm thick. The hands and dial are in excellent condition. The housing also is in excellent original visual condition as evident in the photos. It is not polished or retouched. There is a hairline scratch in the original crystal at the top right which is not visible unless you look carefully for it. The day wheel is in English. The crown is original and signed. Notice the triangular pushers, evidence that they are original.

The watch comes with its original box and leather strap with original buckle. It comes mounted on a vintage BEAR steel bracelet that is almost identical the original. The original bracelet has special end-links, this bracelet does not.

Price is 1250 € including shipping within the EU. Payment by bank transfer. Shipping outside the EU and use of PayPal are also possible by arrangement. No trades, sale only.

Additional photos available. More information on this watch can be found here: http://www.vintagecertinas.ch/en/chronolympiceng.html

Ouch. Didn't know that until you just said so. Guess I can delete that bookmark.

Is it wrong to be melancholy about all the great watches that were sourced by using that website? 😜
