For sale is a vintage Rolex Datejust (circa 1970) with a linen pie-pan dial in a 36mm stainless steel case with engine-turned bezel. The dial and hands are beautiful with matching creamy yellow lume. It's mounted on a 1980s solid-link jubilee bracelet (62510H) in good condition with minor stretch. The watch looks absolutely amazing on the wrist.

As is sometimes seen on Rolex watches from this era, there is pitting between the lugs, probably due to salt water or perspiration collecting under the endlinks. As a result, the serial number is basically unreadable. With a high power loupe, I can barely make out parts of the first two digits, which I believe are "24," consistent with the III.70 stamp inside the caseback. As best I can tell, the watch appears to be a ref 1601 with a replaced bezel.

I have no service history on the watch, but it is winding, setting, and running, and the non-quickset date flips over properly.

As always, take a close look at the photos and let me know if you have questions.

My asking price is $3,300 USD by PP F&F, Zelle, bank wire, or other fee-free electronic payment. The watch and I are in the US (Colorado). Shipping included within the US.

I own its (almost) twin brother. These linen dials are spectacular. Great price, too; someone will be very happy.

Great DJ.

Love the meaty lugs. So often polished to death on these...
