Up for sale is a vintage 1940’s Tudor Oyster in excellent original condition. I think the watch dates to mid-1940’s as indicated by a tiny service inscription on the back of a lug. The watch is in great cosmetic condition and is unpolished and original. Dial: All original bright dial with small rose with black printed (non lume) numerals and minute track. Shock resisting dial, Swiss Made. Hands are original to the watch. Case: All original case with good sharp edges and clear bevels. Unpolished with expected wear commensurate with its age. Original period correct Rolex Oyster (Patent) screw down crown, tight fitting with good thread. Good clean back with good coin edging/thread. Band: Generic leather tan strap as fitted when I purchased the watch Movement: I think this is a Cal. 4463 movement. Service history unknown but the inner case back does have a number of service etchings so a well looked after watch in its day. All in all, a really nice early example in great original condition.
