Hi everyone,

My omega SMPc has a generic eta 2892 movement & I decided to upgrade the rotor with an original omega 2500 rotor.

My question is, would the omega rotor fit on the generic eta 2892?

I appreciate your help!

Upgrade?

You'll still have a generic ETA movement, help me understand how this is an upgrade.

I'm not sure I really understand the context and history or this watch, but I am assuming that it is a Frankenstein watch with a replaced movement. If so, I certainly wouldn't invest any time and energy into it. I'd suggest that you either wear it as is, or sell it and buy a watch that is correct.

Chances are your Omega is completely fake and has the Chinese ETA 2892. Very common.

Yes, he knows. This was posted in 2 different forums on WUS, and in the first one there was a link to the same question over on RWI - a replica forum.

Both posts were removed, and in both the question was answered - no the 2500 rotor will not fit on an ETA movement.

So the deliberately purchased a counterfeit watch and now wants to spend more money to add authentic Omega parts to the movement. 🤨

This guy is like on every watch forum. He’s been chasing me around while I’m trying to get an answer.

You got your answer above from the same guy you are complaining about. What else do you want?

Like I told you on another forum, go get a life. Seems like your watchmaking business is slow since you’re chasing me around the forums.

You can modify a Ferrari valve cover to fit on a Chevy engine but in the end what do you have? Are you trying to fool someone? Or is this just a pet project? You're in the wrong place to ask if you can attach an Omega rotor to a Chinese movement. Probably should go back to RWI with these questions.

You know what they say; it takes one to know one.::stirthepot::
Wrong. Stupid people are actually very obvious to their smarter counterparts. Of course, you wouldn’t know anything about that.

I usually use this term for folks who knowingly buy fake watches. Just like...what a minute..
My shoes are more important than you, and my watches are more expensive than your house. Like I said, dumbass.

Good point. It’s just a pet project that I have already decided to abandon. If I was trying to trick someone, I wouldn’t post it on all the f**kjng forums. Make sense?
