Any straight-on pictures of the dial and the case back (inside and out)
The dial/bezel/hand combination is possible but the SM300s are such a minefield that you have to be 110% sure.

The only thing that worries me is what appears to be a "full stop" after "WATERPROOF" I haven't seen that before but it could be a mark that just seems like a full stop.

I would definitely ask the seller for a straight on shot.

I haven't been following the prices for this model since I bought mine just over a year ago, but then they were about £2,000 with a good condition 1035 and a case that had not had such a close relationship with the polishing wheel.

Actually, that bothers me too. The case has clearly been re-finished but the detail on the case back is immaculate.

yes, its sort of dipped in the middle of many of them - 2 re-luming strokes either side? assumed the originals had even lume

(not that I should be looking, having just bought 2 watches from Kringkily, but it seems watches are like bikes - the correct number is n+1, where n is your current number.....:))

Are the 5minute cardinals on the bezel usually lumed? They're plain white on my watchco...

Yes. Those are how they should be on a vintage bezel with a cross-stroke on the 1 (of the number 10) The only ones without lume are those having a 1 without a cross-stroke.

Nothing to do when community asks : ) here is straight shot and close up of case back. It is not a full stop after 'waterproof'.[IMG] [IMG]

    thanks, @Watchsmuggler

as has been said, the lume's been redone, I think. Not a bad example, but I think the dial would bother me too much, after a while.....

@xcentric I am not sure if I am allowed to participate in this kind of conversation by forum rules, but I would like to stress that there is no mystery and nobody is hiding anything. Case is refinished (both glance and satin parts), movement is completely overhauled and adjusted. Dial, bezel and hands are original and matching (to my knowledge).

@Watchsmuggler I've no issue with you participating (though people now know where to find it :)) but as you'd expect, getting expert views makes sense. There's no insinuation that there's anything suspect in the listing or the watch; I'm just gathering info on what people think has happened to it in its life, to work out whether those issues are critical to me.
