Viable or past it??...... Unique or junk?

The following watch is currently in an auction for £100 - £200.

If this is a legitimate seamaster (questionable)? I'm guessing due to the lettering worn on the dial it's past viable to rejuvenate? I'm basing that on the fact redials are friended upon and drastically affect value.

Thoughts anyone?

That’s such a shame, as the font on the dial is wonderful

To be honest, a lot of the time I post about watches I find interesting, not necessarily with a view to buying. The dial on this watch intrigued me hence the post. One of these days I might find something that interests sometime enough to make a purchase (not holding my breath though 😀)

Past for me. Still relatively easy to find SM Cosmics in good condition (but maybe not in this dial/case configuration).

I can't stop but wondering what was done to the back. Looks like it was put on a belt sander to make it thinner.
