valuable collectors and friends of Omega, i found this item and bought it. and i'm looking for advice on the varnish on her dial:
Look at sticky notes at top of the forums. Should be something there. I don’t know if you are uploading or linking your picture. gatorcpa
allright, Hemingway lived there too, i hear. me, i from amsterdam, i try and i try https://veiling.catawiki.nl/kavels/15232457-omega-constellation-deluxe-2699sc-cal-354-men-s-1952
and i already know the crown should be replaced. my main interest for the moment is the varnish of this old dail.
Here is the watch. The lacquer on the dial is damaged. An expert can remove the lacquer and put on a new coat of synthetic lacquer. I have seen the results and they are spectacular. The crown is incorrect, but modern replacements exist. BTW, I don’t live in Key West, where Hemingway and Harry Truman once lived. gatorcpa
