I emailed the seller and the movement number, according to his response, is 20542898.
It is possible for an outlier number according to Speedmaster 101: * (Edit October 2017 – since writing this site, MWO has produced serial ranges for the last 2998’s as a group. So they suggest that 2998-6, -61 -62 can fall into the range 18419xxx to 19834xxx. As they spent time at the Museum with the records I would suggest readers follow this range when viewing a watch).
Plus there is an outlier for the 105.002-62:Serial Range: 1958 4xxx – 1983 4xxx and 2052 5xxx

 

Yes. And a -6 should have alpha hands. The baton hands appeared on the 105.002, probably around the same time the 105.003-63 was out (imho).

Well 20.5m is a lot closer than 26m but it’s still outside the accepted range. Worth an extract request for an interested party I would think, after all they did one for William’s...

 

Nothing on MWO or SP101 suggests 20.54m is an outlier for a 2998 though. They suggest it is most likely a 105.003-63 or 105.012-64 number.
