See, that is what stuns me. Somebody is going to pay a lot of money for a broken watch, because people arepaying huge amounts for old, worn watches. Probably somebody will pay too much for a franken in the future, whether those with expertise can tell it's a franken or not. It certainly isn't going to stay as it is, somebody will do something with it.
I am an interested bystander in this; no skin in the game. I do think the vintage Speedy craze has become crazy, & this auction is a sign of that. This kind of stuff is what makes people & communities interesting.
