Dear Respectable Members My aunt has the following Omega Constellation in steel/gold, Re. 1202.30.00. It is stainless steel and 18k Yellow gold on a stainless steel and 18k Yellow gold bracelet. Automatic, Date at 3 O'Clock, Silver Dial, 18K Yellow Gold Bezel, Size: 35mm, Thickness: 10mm, Sapphire Crystal, Water Resistant. It is like new with box and papers. My aunt purchased it for approx retail US$6400. She is now considering selling it and would like to know the value. Would be most grateful if you could some insight on how sought after this piece is and also value and what it could fetch in today's market. Many thanks.
Hi Ronnie. Sadly, lady's watches still aren't bringing anywhere decent money on the pre-owned market. I wouldn't even know enough to hazard a guess.
There are a few listed on chrono24.com, so this may give an indication of what people try to sell them for. But as ulackfocus already said, ladies watches do not provide a good return, unless very rare or with high jewel count. Sorry if that is disappointing news.
At 35.5 mm this is a men watch. Although many women sports even bigger watch nowadays (Daytona is ladies watch now ) Ebay sold listing showed USD 1250-1550 price range for similar reference and year. Not too shabby for 20 years old watch to hold its 50% original value
I believe Omega classifies it as 'mid size' so it would be a good fit for somebody that's a vintage lover who wants an every day modern watch. Thanks for pointing that out H.
Many thanks. This watch has been stored in a bank locker all these years. It has been worn for only one evening then put back in the locker. So in effect, it is still NOS, absolutely mint condition. Would anyone know the value of this piece in NOS condition with box and paperwork? Also, are there many collectors interested in this model?
Definitely a mans watch when I bought mine in 97. I know I only have girly 6.75" wrists but this would be huge on my wife. Might suit a lady with a slightly larger wrist but above this size? http://omegaforums.net/threads/wruw-today.567/page-916#post-200414 Cheers, Chris
