    Hi

I'm new here, so I just want to ask, if I'm allowed to ask for a valuation in this forum - of an inherited Ranchero '58?

    Regards,
    Kenneth

Sure. Inserting pictures seems a little tricky, so I'll link to some.

It's a CK 2990, that my grandfather got from my grandmother back then.
It's been used, which can be seen on the dial.
Last year I had a service made with new glass and a couple of other small things (was surprised at the cost of this service).

At the service, he also confirmed the authenticity of the watch.

I don't plan on selling it right now, but I'm curious how much is worth, as there are occasions where I don't want to wear a watch that's too expensive.

If any data is missing, I can check the service note when I come home.

    Pictures below.

    Regards,
    Kenneth

You just have to press the camera icon on the left of the "Post Reply" button, on the right down corner of the screen, and search on your computer.
This time I did it for you;)
Let´s see what the experts say about the watch.

Ahh, thanks a lot. Tried the picture icon in the top bar :)

It's probably not worth much more than the service it had (which was around $340 converted from local, Danish currency)

That is one of the most faked vintage Omega´s. Yours look authentic, though. Very collectible watch. Minute hand and crown are wrong, unfortunately. The dial is in pretty bad shape, damaged by moisture/ heavily aged.

Nonetheless, I should say that I would be surprised if it didn´t fetch 5000 DKK on auction

Don´t touch the dial, and don´t polish the case. Leave it as is. If I were you, I should order an Extract from the Archives from Omega. I think it´s worth to do so on this one.

Thanks a lot. So you mean the hand and crown has been replaced during the life of the watch due to wear?
Would the value of such a watch increase with time or has it just reached the level, it can sustain?

The value of vintage watches may go up or down ...

Value is likely to be stable for the forseeable future due to condition issues with the watch. The best examples of this model will likely appreciate with time but even then not so much compared to other vintage omega models.
