Hello, I'm new to this site and to Longines. I was on eBay the other day and bought this—what I think to be—beautiful old Longines: http://bit.ly/1en2fmy

It doesn't appear to be the best—or worst—shape, but thought I'd check in with you experts and see what y'all think. It's pretty small—30mm case width without crown—so I'm going to give it to my girlfriend as a gift. But am curious about:
    1) does it appear genuine?
    2) about what year it's from?
    3) in good shape considering question 2)?
    4) what it's worth depending on the above (got it for $175)?
    5) any other pertinent info you might have.

    Thanks in advance!

    Michael

Another redial - and again, it's stated right in the description.

Yup, I'm seeing this now. Any thoughts on the other questions?

And same as the Omega, is it even worth keeping?

It's a mid to late 70's watch at the earliest. No value to a collector at all unfortunately.

Ya I figured. Well hopefully she likes it and it can just be a cheap(ish) gift. Definitely coming back here before pulling any more triggers! Thanks so much.
