    Hi gang,

In considering a purchase, is there a way to validate or verify a movement number? Will omega do this? Even more specifically, that a movement number matches an LE number?

Is an extract of the archives the only way?

    Thx,

    J

As far as I know, an extract is the only way, unless you have a buddy at Omega with access to the records.

Given that an extract costs US$150, and takes several weeks to obtain, it is not really useful in vetting a potential purchase.

If it's a modern watch, you can PM me the serial number and I will make sure it matches the model the watch is supposed to be. This does not work for older serial numbers though...
