··Melbourne AustraliaIt's with deep sadness I bring the news of the recent passing of Geoff.
Having not heard from him for a week or so, I asked the local Police to do a welfare check and received the news just now.
We never met in person, but through contact via the forum and discussion about watches and cars and other bloke stuff I got to know him quite well. He entrusted me to service a few of his watches and even let me buy his Submariner when I put dibs on it.
He was very proud of his modest collection, especially his beautiful Patek Philippe pocket watch but I think his favourite was his old Tudor Submariner. While he may not have been in the best of health, he enjoyed posting on the forum and his last post was an impressive Proplof.
I could go on and write a full obituary, but I'm sure that anyone who knew him will understand that he wasn't the type of bloke who'd like to be fussed over, so I'll just go through some of his posts tonight and have a wee dram in his memory.
