I've made a decision to put this up for sale in order to make buying my next watch a little less painful. It's one of those watches that I thought I'd keep for .. well, ever .. but ... This is a 1961 18K gold on gold VC that would later come to be called the Patrimony. Fully serviced last year, I might even be able to dig out receipts. It's approximately 34mm, excluding the crown. Almost classes as an "ultra thin" with a wonderful grained dial. There are a few marks on the case that are invisible to my naked eye, but will show up in the photos ... it's never seen a polishing cloth, let alone a wheel and those marks will come out in minutes if you want to do that. I do have a certificate of authenticity which will come with it and I'll even find a really nice box (though not a VC box) to send with it to a new owner. I have worn this often on my 8 inch wrists but it would suit pretty much anyone as a dress watch ... probably the best dress watch out there for the money. It will come with the Hirsch lizard strap you see in some of the photos. So, the good points: it's bloody gorgeous. The bad: when I bought it, there was moisture ingress which resulted on one of the screws rusting. The last photo is from my watchmaker prior to the repair - and it was repaired, it just needed a good clean and a new screw. He even made just the right screw. But, I don't have an "after" photo of the movement ... I'll open the case and take a photo at some point as I'm sure any prospective buyer would want to see. Movement photo, prior to repair: Asking £2950.00 to me with postage to the UK included and worldwide at cost to the buyer. (God, I really don't want to press that "CREATE THREAD" button, cos then there's no going back ... )
Let's give this a bump ... no-one wanting to take advantage of the low £? The exchange rate alone would give most of you a 20% discount.
