Dear respected members, there are other threads, where members show the watches they are taking with them. This one is more about the general question, how every one of us is handling this? (If there is already such a thread, please accept my apologies. I didn't find any.) Let me start: I like to keep it cheap, but nice to look at. Usually i do take only one watch with me. Even better, if it is a watch, that is not seen often. My present vacation watch is a blue dialled SEIKO Kinetic, i got in excellent condition for less than USD 100.00: So, what about you?
Depends where in the world. I have travelled quite extensively, stayed in some right dives, in some dodgy areas, Compton in L.A. and Harlem in New York as examples, but have never experienced any bother and the chances of being robbed are relatively small but in Europe I take my SM 300 co axial. In Africa, where I am now I brought a cheap swatch and an old Tag F1.

What an interesting topic (to me at any rate). If it's seaside or country holiday then a Seiko 5 Sports or Timex Expedition. For a European city break I'll generally travel in a Seiko 5 7s26 but take an old Tissot for the evenings.
Depends. Normally we take beach vacations, so my go to is my modern Ploprof. If not a beach vacation, then I'm wearing Speedmasters.
I'm not sure I could travel with just one watch and my choice would depend a lot on what I was primarily going to do. Having said that I have a couple of relatively modern Hamiltons that are my default watches. They're good enough looking, rugged, dependable and if I lost either one I wouldn't cry.
Just back from six days visiting a long time school friend in Montana. I wore my 27-year old Date-Just because it is very forgiving, and very accurate. I've been wearing it now for 12 days, and it has dropped 3 seconds since I put it on. Should I regulate it?
For me for general travel its a Sea Master bond quartz (it has an hour hand hack so I can adjust my time zone without having to screw up the seconds and minutes) its also good for the beach and basic scuba ( keep mine water depth tested bi annually). I also take my Speedy for smart casual evening, (on a bracelet) and days (on a NATO). Also have a 9ct case on a black leather strap for formal nights (black / white tie).
Out of the US I take my Seiko SKX with an assortment of straps. In the US I take the SKX and the Speedy Pro with an assortment of straps. If I know I'll need dress then I bring the Orient Bambino.
I tend to wear an old, yet tough and reliable Invicta 9110 (ok, ok, I know people hate them) if it's a beachy holiday. Other than that my Tissot Visodate, Bulova Moonwatch, Seiko SARB033 or Steinhart Ti500 Ocean One. My newly acquired SMP will be added to the list/choice now too.
On my recent trip to Hong Kong, I wore my vintage Constellation and brought an F1 Tag along with a Seagull chrono for timing at the gym. And people liked the Connie because it wasn't a Rolex Sub, which you see everywhere in HK
