I bet it was fast delivery, the seller couldn't get rid of it quick enough ::screwloose::

This is why hiding the buyer's & bidders identity is wrong. If, like in the old days, we could see the winner we could tell them that they're really a loser because they bought a fake. Please give us the link so we can report it. Hopefully the dipshit buyer will be able to get a refund.

I reported it several times and since the seller offered a 14 day return eBay chose not to remove the listing.

I'm new to vintage watches but even I can spot that fake watch.......

if you are going to buy something for 650 bucks do you really don't do any kind of research??

This is an obvious fake. Could this be a shill bid to increase feedback?

"There's a sucker born every minute."

    Always a possibility on eBay.

I now make it a policy not to bid on anything with disguised identities. It hurts sometimes. But I can't see what justifies more secrecy than already offered in an ordinary eBay auction - unless there is shilling going on. Caveat Emptor

Norm, we had switched to talking about private bidding in general, not any particular auction.

I have a watch very similar to this one. The only difference is I paid all of a dime for it back in 92, it was part of a box lot of junk. I had a suspicion years ago when I bought it that it might be a fake. To confirm my suspicion I contacted Omega via email. After a few emails and and many scanned photos and Omega rep confirmed my suspicion. I keep it because it still runs and I like the way it looks. The watch could use a servicing, but in the end is really worth getting cleaned?
