Great fun. We've talked about attending an international track event for years and finally did. Two world records were made. Olympic athletes all hanging out watching the trials made this surreal. The guy next to us was in 400m hurdles but didn't make the semis. He just graduated from the USAF academy and was a new 2nd Lt. He looked so young. Others were coaches and sophomores from Univ Texas, Austin. Some recent team members walking around in their USA uniforms. All very uplifting, not in a jingoistic way, but seeing the results of hard work, talent and dedication. Recomend attending for anyone in the area. Looking forward to hearing from anyone attending Paris games.

Okay, the burning question I am sure we all have is, did you use the Tachymeter to calculate their mph? Perfect opportunity, fixed distance points etc… did you take advantage of the opportunity to totally watch-nerd out? 😁

Looks like a fun day. I’ve done Indianapolis (swimming) but not Portland.
