·I had an emergency sit-down meeting with my wife about the tariffs and the urgent need to immediately purchase new Omega or another Swiss brand watch. The long and short of it is, I'm sleeping on the couch tonight and was given a long list of chores to complete this weekend.

Today, Jules Borel—a major supplier of watch parts—announced via email that, effective immediately, they will no longer be purchasing any new Swiss parts. This is a serious blow for all of us.”

I suspect that the same will be true of all watch parts suppliers. No different than what happened earlier this year with German cars and parts, before tariffs were suspended, then lowered.
There is an expectation that some deal will eventually be reached for lower tariffs, but earlier shipments will not be allowed refunds for the higher tariffs paid. So there is no incentive for either side to do business at this time.
The market can adapt to a rational and reasonable tariff policy. It cannot adjust to constant ups and downs like this.
The only thing I can say to every American citizen on this forum is to remember this thread next year when you vote for your Member of the House of Representatives and Senator. The current administration is intent on destroying parts of the economy to satisfy the spite of our “Dear Leader”. Is that what you voted for last year?
