This discussion above seems to imply that it is possible to upgrade my old Seamaster Pro 300M aluminum with the newer ceramic bezel, below:

I'd like to know if anyone's tried this or knows anything about it.

I already replaced my aluminum bezel once ($300+) and it is scratched again.... frustrating....

If you think scratches are ugly, just wait until you chip or crack the ceramic bezel.

Lemme get this straight Mr Bond.....
●You intentionally want to make a straight cosmetic touch up of swapping your older SMP 300 aluminium bezel + aluminium or steel inserts with the modern ceramic bezel with the ceramic inserts ?

That means retaining the wave dial instead of the solid glossy newer version , all green lume , black on white date wheel & older bracelet ?

So basically that means it's a Franken watch?

I have a nagging feeling the upgrade is possible provided both bezel & bezel inserts are changed en bloc but before you commit to your cause , please open the following link I have provided & understand the message Mr @Archer is trying to convey

It will be a custom watch Miss Fox. I think it will look great/better with the wave dial compared to the new flat.

Thank you for your concern; I read the article you provided. I will take it to a watch maker to actually do the deed, but I need to know if it really will fit before I make the purchase...

Is a good point.... I did do that (tiny chipp) to my Montblanc Sport after banging the watch to a hallway corner, but it is barely noticeable. Scratches are far more likely I think vs high impact... I was simply reaching for something behind metal door, I barely touched anything I think, but there it was.... nice big scratch on the anodized aluminum.
