Hello
I stumbled onto this pretty Omega in local forum. Cal is 562, beautiful dial although BOR bracelet does’nt seem legit to me. Seller didn’t post caseback so I dont know what ref is it.
Would you help me to id the ref, what I should read on inside caseback...
Many thanks

It looks very nice. The relevant question is, of course, what sort of price is the seller seeking.

At a guess, it’s a 166.003 from the mid sixties, but with an unusual cyclops crystal.

Thank you for quick reply and insight 😀
Asked price is 500 USD and something with bracelet.
This BOR doesn’t convince me so I will try to subtract the bracelet with seller.
Thanks

The bracelet seems perfectly genuine.

Agree it's likely a 166.003.

Thank you.
Bracelet on this case appears disproportionate due to thickness of individual links. Especially gaps between end-inks and lugs are noticeable and wonky as you can see on photos. Anyway if I can catch this Seamaster (seller did not reply to my offer yet)

I would put it on leather band😀

Hi @river9 , I also believe the BoR in question is genuine, but maybe not correct for this watch.

There are different kinds and iterations of BoR and they come with different end links, some of them straight, some curved, some of them flat etc. Some of them are to fit Connies, some Seamasters, etc.

I also think it might not be a bad deal, but would definetely check the interior of the watch first..

Also, that bezel looks maybe too round? Either it was very heavily polished or is a replacement.

Best,

Rudi

Thank for your insights @Rudi99
Bezel seems sharper than it appears on above pic
Here is case profile photo in which I can discern bevel on bezel

Case looks very good, original semi hidden crown, seems like a good deal!

No deal breaker just a remark:
The BOR isn't in original condition:

OP:

First link next to the clasp should be non removable like here:

Cool! Than it was just a weird angle. It makes sense, because the case altogether, like stated by @Passover , looks very sharp. 👍

Thanks @Davidt @Passover and @Rudi99 for your insights.
I have the privilege to negotiate “watch head only” with. Whow much the BoR bracelet “as it” is worth since I substract its value to final price.
FYI until now seller asks about 600 USD for watch and bracelet.
Regards

I can't tell from those photos if the endlinks are correct, but if they are an Omega BoR would be around $150-220.

I think the seller could get 600 USD for the head alone and may not have realised that the bracelet has/may have it’s own value.
So my advice, for what it’s worth, is buy the package and, if you don’t like the BoR, sell it on later.

I think I can make out an 11 at lower right in the second photo.

Good eye 😀 Endlinks in real life are marked “11” @Edward53.
-To update-
Finally I got the watch head. Below are pics took by me with my old iphone 🙁
Since BoR doesnt specially attracts me for this ref 166.003 I put the watch head on leather band.
Cheers
