    Lot 349:

OMEGA. A RARE AND ATTRACTIVE 18K WHITE GOLD AUTOMATIC WRISTWATCH WITH SWEEP CENTRE SECONDS AND SILVER BOX
SIGNED OMEGA, CONSTELLATION, AUTOMATIC, REF. 2852, MOVEMENT NO. 15'037'556, CASE NO. 111'616, MANUFACTURED IN 1957

It doesn't take much to explain why this piece is special, the 2852 case is the classic 1950s style Constellation shape, but the metal being 18K White Gold makes this watch a very subtle yet rare and collectable Constellation.

    Lot 289:

OMEGA. A LARGE, RARE AND ATTRACTIVE STAINLESS STEEL CHRONOGRAPH WRISTWATCH WITH ENAMEL DIAL
SIGNED OMEGA, MOVEMENT NO. 9'602'124, CASE NO. 2393/3, CIRCA 1947

Omega Chronographs are always cool, as a general rule though, the earlier the movement the cooler they get, which makes a Calibre 33.3 from the 1940s something rather special.

    Lot 137:

OMEGA. A RARE AND VERY ATTRACTIVE STAINLESS STEEL AVIATOR'S WRISTWATCH WITH BLACK DIAL AND REVOLVING BEZEL
SIGNED OMEGA, REF. CK2042, MOVEMENT NO. 8'888'893, CASE NO. 9'532'021, CIRCA 1939

The CK2042 is a 1940s watch that just happens to have a perfect storm of desirable features. At 40.4mm it is a very wearable size, but carries a serious wrist presence due to its dramatic and military styled case. The combination of subseconds and a bi-directional rotating bezel make this one of the defining Omega pilot's watches, so much so that Omega have even released a re-issue under their Museum Collection.

Yea I'd sort of suspected that from the crosshair intersection, could however be one of those cases where the dial is the easy part to replace.

Since this is Christies, that WG connie will go for major money even if the dial is a redial. Finding a correct one though in nice shape is hard - you'll need a piepan with WG markers and those are rare in nice shape.

Not too long ago, a friend of mine from Viet Nam won a 18K WG 168.005, original black piepan dial with crosshair for a bit over 6 K from eBay. (seller from TX)
