The shape of vintage watch hands can add a lot of character to a watch. We all like the lollipop, arrow shaped, snake like and other unusual shapes of watch hands of some vintage watches. The Juvenia looks like a watch that could answer one of those old math textbook questions: Train “A” leaves Los Angeles at 3:15, Train “B” leaves Chicago at
Unfortunately none of my photos shows it clearly but my old Benrus has an unusual whiplash like tip on the minute hand. Thought at first the hand had been bumped against something and bent but found images of similar Benrus models with the same whiplash tip. Best I can figure this allows plenty of clearance over the applied Gold numerals and the separate second hand. The tip is straight for two thirds its length then bends up and curves back down. The very tip is hair fine and sometimes hard to see because of the thick crystal edges.
