·Hi all,
I’ve had an Omega Seamaster Automatic 166.0216 for a while now, and I’ve never seen another one with the same dial - despite keeping a close eye on listings and forums.
Here are the details:
The dial reminds me a bit of military or Explorer-style designs, but I can’t find any catalogued examples quite like this one.
Do any of you know if this was a factory variant, a service dial, or maybe a market-specific version? It doesn’t look like a redial to me, but I’d love some second opinions.
just wanted to start the thread in case this rings any bells with the vintage crowd.
Thanks in advance!

Here are the details:
- Reference: 166.0216
- Movement: Cal. 1012 (I believe - serviced a while ago by Omega)
- Dial: Matte black with a printed Omega logo, and printed Arabic numerals at 12, 6, and 9
- Markers: Simple batons, also printed
- Hands: Lume-filled (standard-looking for this ref)
- Serviced by Omega: A few years ago - and they didn’t flag or change the dial
