Thought I would share this handsome watch.
Such a shame the text has faded. Very nice watch all the same and not something you see everyday! Love the contrast of the black and yellow and the stepped circular case.

I have a watch with the same or at least very similar case design.

 

One of these (if not this one maybe) was recently in a general auction sale in the UK. WhenI enquired about it, I was told that the crystal was missing and movement in need of work - maybe I should have bought it anyway.

Really..would be interesting to know what it sold for. can you remember the auction house and what the estimate was?

I actually haven't found a proper strap for it yet... Pins are also a bit of a problem, so no wrist shot yet!

 

I'm afraid I can't remember the auction house; I came across it quite by chance, when looking on the-saleroom.com, but I remember that it was just in a general sale. I think it carried an estimate in the low hundreds - maybe just over £100, which is what sparked my interest, but with the information I recieved I decided not to take the plunge (feel free to think me stupid for passing it up...I'm still kicking myself).

 

Yeah... that watch would sell for about £10,000 at a dedicated auction.

 

Or £20,000 with the original strap ;-))))

I seem to remember that it went for around £600, but I could be wrong

 

It was around $450 usd after the exchange conversion as I recall.

If it's the same watch as the one I posted that's some mark up. But good luck to the seller...it is a rare and nice watch.
