Hi I`ve been a member on here for a while and whilst I have read many posts I have never quite got round to posting anything. I bought this Ultrachron last year at auction - I was drawn to it by the unusual shape case and the lovely dial, both in great condition IMO. Keeps decent time but the date doesn`t work. Longines who have advised it was supplied to G Borg Olivier, their agent in Malta at the time, in 1972. Currently on its way to my watchmaker, to sort out the date, service and a new crystal. Here`s hoping I can post the picture and not be completely embarrassed on my my first posting! Any comments welcome!
It`s a 431 - hopefully I`ll get a picture of the movement when it`s been serviced. I was very impressed by the speed that Longines got back to me with the info. I believe parts are getting harder to find so I`m hoping my watchmaker (who doesn`t work on many Longines) doesn`t have any problems. I guess I`ll be back here if he does
