Has anyone ever seen a 145.005-67 Seamaster cal. 321 with this type of dial before? The website selling it is here: http://www.finertimes.com/asp/watches/buyitnow.asp?Where=(Ref='rxvi0516')&Step=1 I have never, and compounding my confusion, there appears to be another vintage model with a very different case but the same dial and hands. I wonder if the one with the more standard case (on the website) is perhaps a combination of another watch's dial/hands with a 145.005 case? Would appreciate the forum wisdom on this one, thanks!
The second is not the same design. I would classify it as part of the Speedmaster companion line I named back in 2003 because of some time only models with Speedmaster like dial designs (there were also a couple of Seamaster 300 models also). Here's one that I owned. Although yours is a chrono. it still have some of the Speedmaster attributes. Mainly the indexes and double dots at 12:00 DON
I originally thought this might be a franken like you described above, but I guess there are at least two of them so maybe not... http://www.ebay.com/itm/171978181716?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:ITPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
That one has on TZ for quite some time. The seller seems like a decent guy and I believe his description after chatting with him. It's a nic looking little seamaster, though there are issues that he discloses. I have almost bought it several times, but then..... ooooh, something shiney!
From AJTT: This is the same as the second photo with the cushion case 145.006. I don't have I formation on the 145.005.
The weird thing is the applied logo that looks more than 68/69 which would match a 361. Neve saw this before.
sorry just edited... I have no answer... it does not like a franken. Why cas a 321 in a later case. It meaningless.
Another example surfaced but condition is not so good (wrong chrono hand and crown and one pusher) @kov DIBS on yours
