An alert for Connie came up for an 18k Connie in my home town of Newcastle.
Unfortunately the case is polished and the dial has spotting but I’m posting this for discussion on the dial.
It’s a Dennison cased Connie with the Birmingham date letter for ‘63/64 which correlates with the movt number of 20,390xxx
There are doglegs out there without ‘officially certified’ but I’ve not seen an .04 (looky-likey) with ‘missing text’ and the font looks good.
Any other examples of .04s like this known to members?
The watch has seen some alterations - hands, crown and rotor are replacements - but if the dial has been redone it’s a bloody good job.

Meaning it’s missing ‘officially certified’, yes. Would agree not come across similar examples...

I’ve just searched Google images for 168.004-62 and a few results came up with the same dial.
What you think, can we conclude they exist? Everything I have read up to now says the opposite.

It would be interesting to know the origin (e.g are they also British) and serial numbers for the similar configuration.

All the ones I can find seem to be 19xx (1962) which would make sense. One case is Swiss not sure about the others.
