I Wasn't intending on parting with this one but some rather major car expenses came up that need to be dealt with (google "e46 subframe repair" and prepare to be horrified). The watch is a 1960s CK14900 Constellation Piepan Chronometer Calibre 551 with the sharpest case I've owned in one of these, looking at it I don't believe its ever been polished as the hard edges on the dogleg lugs which are so easily lost are very sharp as are all facets. Dial is the combination I always loved the most, piepan with crosshair and black onyx inserts, with no tritium on the dial and no tritium on the hands (black onyx inserts too) it just had every feature I wanted in a piepan in the one watch which is why I had to have it. The watch was serviced at my watchmaker around 6 months ago and looked very clean inside. I've tried to add as many detailed pictures as I can from all angles, you can click for a larger version, apologies for the dust and fingerprints on the bezel crystal and caseback, I didn't notice them until after I was finished shooting the watch. Looking for $1800 US and preferably someone willing to let me have first refusal if they ever decide to let it go in the future
If I hadn't paid for a full body factory colour respray just last year I'd almost be tempted. The E46 came out when I was a young man catching the bus, and every afternoon across the road from my bus stop some guy in a silver M3 CSL would cane down the street towards me, drift round the corner and scamper off up the road. I think whichever car you thought was the coolest when you were that young kid on the bus sticks with you as you get older, if I did get rid of this E46, it'd have to be replaced with a CSL.
Just changed to OHPF, I've had 5 PMs about it, and second guy to contact me wants to take it, fairly sure it'll have a new home from one of them, thanks guys
That one's staying, there are a couple of others I'll be letting go as a sacrifice to the car gods... Also moving on a Wolf Viceroy 2.7 8 watch winder if anyone's after one of those
