Have been tirelessly looking for more information on this Seamaster which appears to be Late 50's-Early 60's, finally decided to ask the community with some help

This is the closest I was able to find
    http://www.omegawatches.com/planet-omega/heritage/vintage-details/20448/

Then another one that looks just about right on here except the hands are different

Had it serviced a few weeks ago and had a new crystal put on since the other one was chipped

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated

Probably an early Omega Seamaster De Ville 1961. Ref. 14770, cal. 552.

I suggest you take it to a watchmaker and have him open it up. Then you'll know exactly what you have.

If you're speaking about the dial perhaps, there were dozens of different dials offered with 14770 and similar references.

Whatever that is, it definitely isn't a 552 which is a no-date cal.

My guess is a 562 or 565, based on the setup.....but caseback will reveal all the secrets

These front loading (unishell, monocoque..... there were several names for this case style) automatic Seamasters didn't carry the word DEVILLE on the dial until 1963-ish. Before then, they just had Seamaster. The case was introduced in 1959-ish and switched from a 5 digit reference number to a 6 digit reference number in 1962-ish like nearly all Omega numbers did then. The only time I saw DEVILLE on a dial before 1963 was if it was a manual wind 600 series caliber inside, and they weren't all that common.

It's certainly a 56x inside because of the date window.

BTW, I might be off by a year.
