have been looking for an Hermes by Universal for a while now with no success but found a very similar looking watch by Harvard. Love the look and a great movement, as I know very little about Harvard vs Universal would welcome any thoughts on the comparison. The Harvard has a Veljoux movement.
Paul, that's like saying "I've been looking for a Zagato bodied Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ, but I found this Fiat 124..." A Hermes Universal is a thoroughbred, rare beyond rare, and a Harvard is a pretty anonymous generic. Apples and oranges. Don't belong together in the same sentence. If you like it, buy it, but don't expect it to be an effective substitute. In my experience, this type of compromise is never satisfying.
Definitely a very similar look. But while a great looking watch lacks the punch of the Hermes. The Hermes is almost Patek in its perfection of proportions.

Nice alfasud. I think the hint is in the name. The "sud" part meant that the car was meant to be kept in the south of italy where there is little rain. In england you risk finding a pile of rust outside your front door after parking it the night before ....
Actually, I think I do. There is a surprisingly thriving Beta community online and cars are frequently found and restored. They share the same horrible reputation, for sure!
